Quietward is built so that we never receive your personal information. This policy explains what that means in practice.
- We don't collect, store, sell or share any personal data.
- Quietward has no servers, no user accounts, no analytics and no advertising.
- Everything Quietward does happens on your iPhone.
Text messages
When you turn on Quietward in Settings › Apps › Messages › Unknown & Spam, iOS shows Quietward's filter the sender and text of messages from people who aren't in your contacts. The filter decides which folder each message belongs in (Inbox, Junk, Promotions or Transactions) on your device. iOS doesn't let the filter save these messages or send them anywhere, and Quietward doesn't ask iOS for a server to consult. We never see your messages.
Scam Check
Text you paste into Scam Check is analysed on your iPhone. Your check history and any "spam / fine" labels are stored only in Quietward's storage on your device. If you use the optional AI explanation, it's generated by Apple's on-device language model; the text isn't sent to us or to any third party.
Personal AI model
If you use "Learn from my feedback", Quietward builds a small statistical model from the texts you label. It's stored only on your device, and you can erase it in Filters › Forget what I've taught it.
Calls
Numbers you add to your block list are stored on your device and handed to iOS, which does the blocking. Quietward never sees your calls or call history.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive no payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchases.
Your control
- Export: More › Export my data creates a file of everything Quietward stores.
- Delete: More › Delete all data erases it. Deleting the app also removes it.
Children
Quietward doesn't collect any data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If Quietward ever adds a feature that sends data off your device, it will be opt-in, this policy will be updated before release, and the App Store privacy label will change to match.
